Shed and Playset Removal in Sonora, CA
Old sheds, playsets and swing sets taken down and hauled away, with the junk inside the shed cleared out too if you want.
We take down old sheds, playsets and swing sets, load the pieces and haul them away. If the shed is still full, we empty it first as part of the same job. Metal goes to recycling, and painted or pressure-treated wood has its own rules in California, so tell us if your shed or playset has it. Every teardown is priced on site or from photos, as one flat price with dump fees included.
What we take
- Wood and metal sheds
- Playsets and swing sets
- Old trampolines
- Everything stored inside the shed
- Lumber, sheet metal and wire fencing piled beside it
Good to know before we come
- If the shed is wired for power, have it disconnected before we come.
- Point out anything stored inside that you want kept, and we set it aside first.
- Old cans of paint, fuel or weed killer from the shed do not go in a junk load. We set them aside and tell you where each one goes.
- Tell us if the wood is painted, stained or pressure-treated.
How much does shed removal cost in Sonora?
A shed or a playset takes teardown work before it can be loaded, so it is priced on site or from photos. A photo of the outside, one of the inside and one of the path to where the trailer can park is usually enough for a price.
If the shed is full, one price covers emptying it and taking it down in the same visit. For scale, a 16-foot trailer piled high is typically $700 to $1,000, dump fees included.
What moves the price
- The size of the shed or playset and the teardown it takes
- What is stored inside, and how much of the trailer it fills
- Treated or painted wood, which has its own disposal rules

Where an old shed goes
Sheet metal and other metal go to recycling, and the rest goes to the Cal Sierra Transfer Station in East Sonora. In Tuolumne County, the Plainview site at the top of the Twain Harte Grade takes untreated, unpainted lumber, while the Earth Resource Facility on Camage Avenue turns away treated, stained, glued or painted wood.
Pressure-treated wood, common in playsets, decks and fence posts, is treated wood waste in California. It has to be kept separate and can never be burned, chipped or mulched, and the county's free dump coupon does not cover it. Tell us about it before the job so we can price it honestly. From our recent hauls
A trailer loaded past the sides Lumber, bags, a mattress and household junk in one load. A full trailer load of junk from a home in Sonora: lumber, branches, bags, a mattress and old household things stacked above the sides. A 16-foot trailer piled this high typically runs $700 to $1,000 with dump fees included, and mattresses carry a per-mattress fee at the transfer station. The crew beside a loaded trailer Every load is carried out by hand by the same local crew. Three of our crew beside a 16-foot trailer they had just loaded on a junk removal job in Jamestown. The crew does all the carrying, so nobody at the house lifts a thing, and household junk goes to the Cal Sierra Transfer Station in Sonora to be sorted. Raking up the last of the pile We clean up the spot where the pile sat. The end of a yard debris job in Columbia: a crew member rakes up the last of the leaf and debris pile beside the loaded trailer. We clean up the spot where the pile sat before we leave.
Fast, friendly, and hardworking. I'll definitely be calling the next time I need junk hauled or help around the property. 100% recommended.
Great group of people that did the job...very reasonable prices. Great follow-up. Will be using them again!
