Brush and Branch Hauling in Sonora, CA
The brush pile you cut for fire clearance, loaded and hauled to a green waste site instead of the landfill.
Brush hauling means we load the pile of limbs, branches and brush you cut, usually for fire clearance, and haul it to a green waste site instead of the landfill. We bring 16-foot trailers and a dump truck for the big loads, and a tractor helps load heavy piles. Every pile is priced on site or from a photo, as one flat price with dump fees included. If the brush still needs cutting, our partner Wacky Weedeating does that with the same crew.
What we haul
- Brush and limbs from defensible space work
- Branches and tree trimmings
- Pine needles and leaves, raked and loaded
- Rounds of wood, which are heavy
- Piles that have sat for a season
Good to know before we come
- A photo of the pile with a car or a fence in it lets us price it without a trip.
- Metal and trash that turn up in a brush pile are sorted out and go where they belong.
- The county's green waste site does not take stumps, so tell us if your pile has any.
- Treated or painted wood does not go to a green waste site. Keep it out of the pile if you can.
How much does brush removal cost in Sonora?
Brush piles are priced on site or from photos, by the load, as one flat price with dump fees included. Brush is bulky, so a photo with something for scale, like a car or a fence, helps us size the pile.
Green waste and household junk go to different places, which is why a brush pile is priced on its own. For scale, a 16-foot trailer piled high with junk is typically $700 to $1,000; green waste is priced to the size and weight of your pile.
What moves the price
- How many trailer or dump truck loads the pile fills
- Heavy material such as rounds of wood
- Raking or gathering needed before the pile can be loaded

| Pine needles and leaves, raked and loaded | Priced on site |
Dump fees are included in every price. You hear one flat price before anything is loaded.
Where brush goes
Brush goes to a green waste site, not the landfill. The Cal Sierra Earth Resource Facility on Camage Avenue in Sonora takes limbs, pine needles and green waste, and logs and rounds up to 12 inches, for a fee, Tuesday to Saturday. It does not take stumps or treated, stained or painted wood. The Wise Wood Works Plainview site at the top of the Twain Harte Grade takes brush, leaves and pine needles for a fee, Tuesday to Saturday, weather permitting.
The county's free dump coupon does not cover landscaping waste. If you live in an active Firewise USA community, ask the county Solid Waste Division, (209) 533-5588, about its green waste pilot, which places a dump trailer at a community site so neighbors can drop green waste at no cost.

Great group of people that did the job...very reasonable prices. Great follow-up. Will be using them again!
Brush hauling questions
Can you haul the brush I cut myself?
Yes. A pile you already cut and gathered is the most common yard waste job. Send a photo with the form for a price.
Do you cut brush or clear defensible space?
Our partner Wacky Weedeating does the cutting and clearing with the same crew, and we haul what they cut. See wackyweedeating.com.
Where does the brush go?

Can I use the county dump coupon for brush?
No. The 2026 Keep Tuolumne Clean coupon does not cover landscaping waste. Brush goes to a green waste site, for a fee.
